  3. Hi guys thanks for the question (and mojo great you noticed the work put in to tidy up the dump!). I'll find out what the result was with the burnout pad request and get back to you Monday or Tuesday. I'll set up a new thread with your questions. Also, don't forget to let your mates know to log on here if you're wondering about anything else !

I am a little concerned about workers at Riddles Oval. There is one fellow there who is operating machinery and taking levels who doesn't seem to wear a fluro safety shirt. I nearly hit him in my Pantec truck some weeks ago as he was taking levels. A grey shirt is not a good colour in bleak conditions.
Also congrats on the progress you guys are making at the town dump. It is starting to look good. Keep up the good work!

  8. Joseph, thanks for letting us know. Council takes workplace health and safety very seriously. I have referred your comment to management and have been advised they will be investigating this. Thanks also for the comment on the town dump - it is looking better!

  10. hay guys i noticed your new lights for the main street good idea it will provide great security nearly looks like day time ha. and expicially for the police/security when pubs close but any way i think we could fix up a few lights around town that have blown. i know its probebly not your problem that some one else might deal with that subject but how many people know about telling council so they can reffer it and get them fixed i never knew untill i asked the other day could we send a flier out or some sort of communication so people know that they have the choice of brighting up the street. lets face it its not like its easy to put up new polls around to brighten the other streets up so this could be cheap effective way of brighting them up. cheers
    regards mojo

  11. Yep agree with mojo 100%.
there are a heap of ones that need to be fixed yet before you put in more down the main street
near the shell and those back roads are real dark and think you really need another down winton after the yellow flats and near beaurepairs.
heaps that have gone out mainly
should probably use a few of those AMPLE council workers you have do go check them out and see what ones arent working.
    cheers

  12. Thanks Mojo and anonymous - we'll pass on the ones you've told us about. Ergon Energy is responsible for maintaining them but certainly let us know so we can report them. We may be able to do a bit of publicity to ask people to keep an eye out and report ones that aren't working.

  13. yes sounds great plan of action. could there be a number, email address or just this website so we know where to let you know??? or will all my inquires be put out in this publicity thing??

  14. Thanks guys - I have included a notice in this week's Argus and Macintyre Gazette (in Council's dedicated advertising section) letting people know they can tell us if street lights aren't working and we'll pass on the info. email (mail@grc.qld.gov.au) or the local customer service centre numbers. Thanks again for letting us know !
